Bendigo Backpackers truly exceeded my expectations as a budget-friendly accommodation. Nestled in the heart of Bendigo, it's a charming converted home that radiates warmth and character. I particularly enjoyed the vibrant guest lounge area with its cosy fireplace – perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring historic attractions with my fellow travel buddies. The large shared kitchen was a fantastic touch, allowing us to whip up quick meals while meeting fellow backpackers from all walks of life. And for those who appreciate a bit of outdoor relaxation, the beautiful gardens with picnic seating provided a great spot to share a few ales and stories under the Aussie sun. Even though it's a hostel with the shared experience in mind, I found the cleanliness and atmosphere welcoming, ensuring a comfortable stay. If you’re seeking an affordable and social getaway in Bendigo, this place is definitely one to consider – I would certainly return on my next Australian adventure!
